  1. Telegeography published today that MWEB has launched an uncapped WiMAX offering targeted at the SME market in South Africa. MWEB said it was using an open spectrum band for the service initially, while hoping to obtain spectrum in the 2.6GHz and 3.5GHz bands when the anticipated spectrum auction takes place. When will the auction results be made public?

The auction has not yet been scheduled. When it is scheduled, we will update the calendar page and when the results are final we will update the results page. In the meantime, I suggest that you subscribe to the blog so that you are made aware of changes to the calendar and results.
